So how do you remember? How do you reclaim the light that was always yours?
You start by deciding that your light matters more than their comfort.
You start by saying:
- “I am allowed to take up space”
- “My feelings are valid”
- “I don’t need to earn the right to exist fully”
- “My light is not a problem to be managed”
- “I am made of stardust, and I will shine”
You start by understanding that anyone who needs you dim is not meant to be in your light.
The right people – the people who are meant for you – won’t ask you to shrink.
They’ll say: “My god, look at you shine. Don’t you dare dim that for me or anyone else.”
They’ll bring their own light and watch what happens when two stars shine together.
