Ashes To Bloom

Creating a blossoming life

You Are made of Stardust

Dear One,

There’s something I need you to remember.

Something that got buried under years of criticism, control, and carefully crafted doubt.

Something they tried to make you forget because your remembering it would mean their power over you would crumble.

You are made of light.

Not metaphorically. Not poetically. Literally.

The Cosmic Truth

The Universe exploded into being 13.8 billion years ago in a burst of unimaginable light and energy.

That explosion became galaxies. Those galaxies became stars. Those stars lived, burned brilliantly, and eventually died in spectacular supernovas – scattering their elements across space.

Carbon. Oxygen. Nitrogen. Iron. Calcium.

Those elements – stardust – drifted through the cosmos for billions of years until they found their way here. To Earth. To the formation of life. To your grandmother’s grandmother’s grandmother.

To you.

You are not made of ordinary matter. You are made of the remnants of dying stars.

Astrophysicist Carl Sagan said it best: “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”

You carry the Universe inside you.

You ARE the Universe experiencing itself.
